…New American?…Global Fusion?…California Cuisine?… just some of the names used to describe the new school of master chefs. The most influential leaders in today’s culinary world and their restaurants define what we now describe as “Modern American”.
Trevese Restaurant and Lounge is the example of today’s important restaurant. Celebrating Modern American cuisine, the object is to balance a rich combination of food selections with atmosphere, experience and elegance.
The location of Trevese in itself is a story of it’s own. The mansion was constructed in 1891 by J.J. Hill. The Queen Anne-style Victorian owned by Mary Coggeshall is one of few still standing in the Bay Area. In 1977, the Chart House referbished the mansion to a restaurant and closed it’s doors thirty years later.
Trevese, named after Therese and Trevor Miller, now occupies the historic landmark, conveniently located in the heart of Los Gatos, an exciting destination south of San Francisco. The new interior has embraced the original integrity with added modern concepts and ingenuity. The interior design is much like the menu, where classic themes have been reinterpreted with modern American craftsmanship.
